  • Membership Committee

The Membership Committee is responsible for recruiting new members and getting them acclimated to CREW Silicon Valley.  Our role as a committee is to identify new members and get them connected to other committees for service and involvement. The Membership committee is responsible for hosting the New Members Breakfast, which is an event that welcomes and introduces new members to the Chapter Directors and other existing members.  Serving in the Membership Committee is a great way to meet new members, connect with existing members within the chapter as well as collaborate with CREW Chapter Directors and other committee members.

  • Sponsorship Committee

The goal of the Sponsorship Committee is to secure sponsorship dollars to meet and exceed the chapter's financial goals and to support CREW Network and CREW Network Foundation initiatives.

The Sponsorship Committee conducts brainstorming sessions to identify whom our chapter will target for sponsorship dollars and what CREW will offer to those sponsors in return for their investment or reinvestment.

The Sponsorship Committee meets regularly to establish an overall sponsorship goal for the year and to identify any areas where outreach might be needed.

The Sponsorship Committee is responsible for securing Golf Tournament sponsors and working closely with the Golf Committee to ensure a successful event for the sponsors and players.

The Sponsorship Committee puts on two events each year:
    (1) Sponsor Appreciation Lunch. This event honors CREW's sponsors and creates a forum to discuss their involvement with CREW Silicon Valley. We identify what went well and any suggestions for the up coming year. This event also provides an opportunity for existing sponsors to renew their sponsorship before those opportunities are opened up to the community.
    (2) Sponsor Outreach. This is a CREW network event that provides an opportunity for new companies (not existing sponsors) to commit to a level of sponsorship in the up coming year.

Because sponsors look for "business value" (that is, how their sponsor dollars afford their company opportunities to get business), CREW Network constantly strives to connect every member with resources throughout the world. The CREW Board and the Sponsorship Committee work hard to convince these companies that becoming a sponsor of CREW can do just that.

A "win win" sponsorship arrangement involves more than placing a company's logo in a brochure and finding funding and sponsorships. Rather, it is an opportunity to create lasting and productive partnerships with local and national companies and expand the network and opportunities within which CREW members can build their business.

  • Programs Committee

The role of the Programs Committee within the CREW Silicon Valley chapter is to provide educational and relevant information to its members and guests on topics related to commercial real estate. The goal is that people attending a Program will leave with a take away message to utilize in their own day to day business. The Programs Committee coordinates the speakers, venues and registration for each monthly Program.

The Programs Committee also organizes Quarterly "Brown Bags", which are a smaller version of the monthly Programs events. The Brown Bags are free to CREW Silicon Valley members and are typically held at lunchtime. These Brown Bag events provide an opportunity for speakers to discuss specific aspects of commercial real estate in greater depth (including topics such as brokerage, environmental engineering, interior design, property management, etc.).

In addition to monthly Programs and the Quarterly Brown Bags, the Programs Committee also plans the annual festivities such as our Annual Awards & Wine event, where we acknowledge and celebrate our chapter's members and their accomplishments within their workplace, the community and our CREW Silicon Valley chapter.

  • Communications Committee

The role of the Communications Committee within the CREW Silicon Valley chapter is to provide internal communications to its members and external communications about CREW SV to the commercial real estate community in general. The goal is to establish and safeguard the CREW SV brand so that we are effectively communicating both internally and externally the "Who, What, When and How" of CREW SV. The Communications Committee keeps the monthly Board Calendar, releases the "CREW SV Communiqué" (our monthly newsletter) and coordinates sponsorship opportunities for CREW SV involvement so that we are actively supporting various commercial real estate groups and events.

In 2014, the Communications Committee is working on the rebranding of CREW SV. We will be working to make CREW SV more visible in the commercial real estate community through thoughtful positioning and messaging, both internally and externally.
